-----Even in engulfing darkness, a tiny spark of light can drive away shadow, the unknown, and even fear itself. It is by this idea that Althalia Saloshin lives her life, in spite of and to spite the face of tragedy. Bursting with vigorous energy but now wisened with experience, the newly promoted Captain seeks to lead a new generation of Keepers into the Collective to continue the spread of light and hope into the void.

-----Among the first generation of Hylravi-Iaravine Cyrasili recruits to attend Vectus Academy at the age of eleven after her home planet's breach into Stream Awareness, as well as a young enthusiast for the popular Hylravine hoverboarding sport of Skyriding through her family's professional involvement and history in the game, Althalia was the first recruit at the academy to (with the help of many peers and teachers) pioneer and develop a hoverboarding style exclusively for aerospace combat against the Nith. This, in combination with her lightning-infused Nexus and go-get-'em personality, has earned her a reputation for dazzlingly swift, efficient Nith kills as well as daredevil recklessness. She graduated from the Academy at nineteen with additional specializations in combat aviation and CQC, and was immediately assigned to a fittingly young-blooded and energetic Keeper Team.

-----The team, like a flash of lightning, shined brilliantly in its first few missions with incredible success - but disappeared as quickly as it came when tragedy struck and permanently crippled the team and its individual surviving members. Althalia, clearly shaken by the loss but stubbornly refusing to let the enemy stop her so easily despite her fear, returned to the Academy as a teacher for a few years while recovering from her injuries, and returned to active duty afterward - though she was called back to Ambery often to teach a semester in between missions and Team assignments. Ten years after her first assignment as a Junior Keeper on her first team, through experience, demonstration of perseverance, and enthusiastic leadership both in and out of the classroom, Althalia earned the rank of Keeper Captain, assigned to lead the newly formed Team 6-VZ.
