Yuganda Risō (歪んだ理想) - ((JAGGED IDEAL/STEEL BLUE INTENTION))

History: He was ‘born’ to inherit the will of his ‘mother’.
A ‘hermit’ who lived secluded in the mountains researching a basic, primordial art. Uncaring, ignorant of society, heedless of boundaries or reform. Without care, that woman forged the blade that was to be her legacy. Flawlessly beautiful; sharp as cold starlight; a sword free of modern impurities.
That mother died to fuel her ambitions for a son. Tempered in devotion and born through sacrifice, he was as human as a sword.
He remained on that mountaintop, ever furthering his “Secrets of Steel.” As he attained a deeper understanding of steel, so too did he gain a deeper understanding of himself. The mountaintops held no more answers- but could the same be said of the forests?
Beasts and feral creatures proved no threat. As human as a sword, with his “Secrets of Steel,” he cut them down without pause or reflection. Quenched in blood and honed through battle, he sought the greatest precipice – the ‘Sentience of Steel’.
Could answers be found by minds greater than his? A village, a scholar-
Anything would do.

Personality: Endlessly driven in the hopes of accomplishing a singular goal (to the exclusion of all else,) Risō cannot be said to be particularly evil or good. He is formal but always to the point, patient but always short on time, a liar unafraid to speak the truth.
He is a naked blade- designed to kill, yet free of personal bias or morality. Without concern for others, he observes them plainly, without judgment.

*As a Living Sword, Risō is unaffected by weather and other general external factors; he likewise requires no food or drink to sustain himself. He gains strength from the Intent of others; clarity of purpose is more important than the intention itself.
**Strength here does of course mean 'a boost to his power in times of need', but is primarily 'the ability to continue'. In a vacuum, the overwhelming intent imparted by his 'mother' (or that gained from proximity to any others beforehand) can eventually be used up, leaving him to fade away. It is a wasting hunger he has never felt.
***This is not vampirism- the 'providers' of this power source are not drained of it in any way. Consider it the equivalent of a plant absorbing light from the sun.
