Sun Wukong - The Golden Tempest

"This is gonna be fun!"









-------Fed up with following the rules and traditions of his people, Wukong set off on his own at the age of 12. He had always felt he was a better warrior than he was given credit for. Spending the next five years of his life trekking across his native lands, he amassed many treasures and tested his limits against foes each more powerful than the last. As time went on he conquered greater and greater threats, but found no opponent could satiate his hunger for a fight that truly pushed him passed limits. Quickly growing tired of the meager challenge these lands had to offer, he longed for bigger and better things somewhere else. Perched atop his mountain home, he witnessed the arrival of a Keeper vessel. Being naturally curious, he couldn't help but investigate, his appearance piquing the curiosity of those aboard. Without giving them a chance to speak, he demanded they take him to a new land across the stars to face more treacherous trials than his planet had to offer. He would not take no for an answer, and in a combination of intrigue and submission, those aboard offered him a chance to face the greatest trials of his young life. Leaving his home-world behind, along with all of his amassed treasures, save for his most prized possession, the blade Weifeng, he set off toward the stars without looking back.

-------Aside from his naturally swift reflex speed and vigorous strength, he possesses a few supernatural abilities. These abilities include: Partially transforming his body into anything committed to his memory (his memory isn't all that fantastic), although his tail will always remain unchanged. Using one of his hairs, he is able to create a clone of himself, equal in strength but lacking resilience. By cloaking himself in solid stone, he gains increased physical and elemental resistance to water and fire, but at the cost of his ability to fight while in this protective state, essentially becoming a statue. Through the use of his Golden Gaze, he is able to see the malice in his opponent's hearts, allowing him to detect Shadowsili when this state is active.

-------Wukong is extremely sure of himself and confident in his fighting abilities. He has appointed himself the Great Monkey King (no one has recognized his authority yet). There is a very innocent and childlike manner about him, although he will get serious when faced with an opponent he feels may actually be able to take his life, but he will still keep a somewhat playful attitude despite this. Quick to make any new friends, but very slow to forgive any lost trust. His mischievous nature has him often playing tricks on and teasing those he likes, although he often crosses the line, not knowing when enough is enough. It is very rare to find him without a smile or smirk of some kind on his face, as he is not easily disheartened. Having spent the last third of his life on his own, he is comfortable being alone, but he will actively seek out the company of others, sometimes to the point of being bothersome or intrusive, but only through lack of social understanding.
