Izumi Wakahisa - The Needle Eye
"If you can't handle me at my most fabulous, then you definitely can't handle me in a fight~"





Izumi's childhood was that of mixed messages and bright lights.  Her father was a famous fashion designer, creating masterpieces on the runway and becoming famous for his bright, vibrant, creative designs.  Amongst the throngs of fashion designers, he was one of the best for a few years, until he met a certain mercenary, his work declining slightly in his attempt to woo her.  Said mercenary was Izumi's mother.  Her mother was as lethal as she was beautiful, her personality complete the opposite of Izumi's flamboyant father.  Their relationship was brief but fiery, and left Izumi's mother with a baby, something that wasn't really conducive to running around and killing people for money.

Izumi was left with her father who raised her with great exuberance and care.  Despite her only having one parent, she grew up happy and loved, wanting for nothing, and grew into a fashion-savvy, mischievous, and easily excited young girl.  That was the point in which her mother decided to come back into her life, her father welcoming her back with open arms.  At first her mother was completely disinterested in her, keeping her distance, but, over time, she began to teach Izumi a few things.  Izumi learned how to use various weapons but what she became best at were knives and throwing needles.  It was only after she came back inside her home after a few hours of practice that she realized that the lessons had been meant to distract her, as she caught her mother right as she shot her beloved father in the back of the head.

Blind with hurt, betrayal and rage, time seemed to slow down and, next she knew, she was standing over her dead mother, one of Izumi's knives lodged in her throat.  She didn't know it at the time, but that was when her nexus had first manifested, the trigger that would put her on the road to being a Keeper.  Joining them seemed logical since where else would she be able to fight evil things and be fabulous at the same time?
