Nein Benitez - The Digital NavigatorFighting For the KeepersFrom The Reaches of Juagiza At 19 years old Played By vitious
Nein spent the first fifteen years of his life in a home for children born with disabilities. Typically they were homes that rich people tended to dump money into to feel better about themselves, but it was the only reason that he was still alive. Nein was born paraplegic, blind, mute, and hairless due to the chemicals that encompass Juagiza and, thus, was left at the home by his mother who couldn't afford to take care of him. It was a fairly normal thing for a child to be abandoned after all - most of Juagiza was made up of the poor and homeless who couldn't afford to tote around a child that wasn't healthy. Nein was ten before he got his first modification. A hefty donation allowed his eyes to be replaced, however didn't cover anesthesia, something which was rare and thus expensive on Juagiza; the rich tended to have an addiction to it, thus the shortage. Nein got several direct donations after that when his technomancy began to develop further. At age thirteen he'd had several modification done and could finally move on his own. When he was fifteen, thus at the current regime's age of adulthood, Nein left the home and struck out his own, falling into crime and gangs, as many did, just to scrape by. Eventually Nein grew weary of Juagiza and gained the opportunity to leave in the form of a Keeper recruiter. For once his small stature provided him with an advantage, letting him make his way through the crowd and to the front of the line. After all, everyone wanted to leave the planet, so there was a massive crowd attempting to enlist with the Keepers. Nein managed to fill out an application, somehow got accepted, and ended up at the Keeper Academy, seeing sunlight and breathing fresh air for the first time. Now, freshly graduated and ready for his team, Nein is eager to prove himself, mostly so he never has to see 'home' again.
